Metaphorical Quotes
Metaphors and Quotes
A metaphor is a comparison that does not use the word "like" or "as." For example, if you say, "Life is like a box of chocolates," you're using a simile. But if you say, "Life is a bowl of cherries," you're using a metaphor. Similes and metaphors are often used in poetry.
We've included both metaphors and similes in this list of metaphorical quotes. Enjoy.
